WordPress team has released the latest stable version of WordPress version 3.0.5 on 7th February. I saw it appeared on my WordPress dashboard 3 days ago but still haven’t upgrade to the latest version yet.
I’m actually waiting for the major WordPress updates such as WordPress 3.1 but it’s still under RC 4. The WordPress 3.1 Release Candidate 4 is available and some bugs has been fixed such as:
– Deleting a user and reassigning their posts to another user.
– Marking multiple users or sites as spam in multisite.
– PHP4 compatibility.
I did not upgrade to WordPress 3.0.5 now because the security updates are especially for multi-author functionalities such as:
– Fixed security issues that could have allowed a contributor or author level user to gain further access to the site.
If you have multi-author or contributor on your WordPress sites, you are encouraged to update to the newest WordPress version 3.0.5 to enhance the security of your sites.
