Thank God, the long awaited Maxis Google Nexus S had finally arrived yesterday morning! It surely feels great to feel this beautiful, slim black shiny Google Nexus S in my hands. Really big thanks to Maxis 10 Reviewers Programme!
Brief Introduction of Google Nexus S
Google Nexus S is the successor of Nexus One and co-developed by Google and Samsung. According to Official Google Phone Gallery, Nexus S is the FIRST mobile device that runs on latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). With 1GHz Hummingbird processor and 16GB of internal memory, Nexus S emerges as one of the fastest phones on the market.
If you are a Google enthusiast like me, Nexus S is no doubt, the perfect Smartphone for you as it is pre-installed with some of the well known apps like Google Maps with navigation, Gmail, Gtalk, Google Voice, Youtube, Google Earth, Google Places, Google Search and many more! Convenient, right?
Other Fabulous Google Nexus S Features:
– Portable Wi-Fi hotspot
– Near Field Communications (NFC)
– Internet Calling Support (VOIP/SIP)
– Video Recording and Camera (5.0 Megapixels)
– Voice Actions
– Android Market
– Multi-tasking
What’s In The Box?
Let’s unbox now!
Inside the charming white box, Google Nexus S phone caught my sight immediately! It is elegantly wrapped by shiny plastic covers (front and back) for protection purposes, very thoughtful. Then, I noticed the rest of the accessories as you can see in the picture:
Let’s have a close up at each of them, shall we?
– A Rechargeable Battery
– A pair of Headset
– A Charger
– An USB Data Cable
– Health & Safety and Warranty booklets
Nexus S is perfectly assembled for its user and ready to use! My only duty is to install the battery and make sure it’s fully charged. When I got the phone, it already had 2 bars, but with approximately 2 hours later it was able to reach 5 bars and ready for action!
I have to be honest, this is the first time I use a Smartphone. At first I was a little worried that I could not keep up with its ‘advanced’ features, but to my amazement it is very user friendly. I have no problem in locating the major controls such as power on/off button, camera, volume and inserting the SIM card is exactly as how we normally do with our regular mobile phones. Not to mention, I spent hours playing around with the features which I’m sure you’ll be interested to know more. Do stick around and watch out for my coming posts! You won’t be disappointed.
One last thing…
I wonder why Google Nexus S Owner’s guide was not included in the box in the first place? If you are looking for Google Nexus S Owner’s Guide Book like me, do download it here. By the way, there are no free screen protector and pouch included so you may need to get them yourself. Other than that, I’m a happy user. Watch out for my upcoming reviews about Nexus S soon!
