Nowadays, most of the movies are in DVD format and it’s not an easy task to perfectly backup your favorite DVDs without losing the video quality. Therefore, ISO file format is a famous method to preserve the quality of DVD due to no data loss or video quality loss during DVD ripping process. Besides, ISO image is cross-platform format which is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and playable on most media players.

Today, I would like to guide you how to rip and convert DVD discs to ISO image files using an awesome freeware called BDlot DVD ISO Master. Although you can try to rip DVD discs using DVDFab and using ImgBurn to create an ISO image but I think it’s not for novice users as it required you to install two programs separately and only then you can create ISO image.

Rip and Convert DVD to ISO with BDlot DVD ISO Master

BDlot DVD ISO Master is a freeware which can decrypt and unlock any protected DVD restrictions such as CSS, CPRM, CPPM, APS, UOPs, ARccOS, Rip-Guard and Disney X protection.

Download and install BDlot DVD ISO Master. The size of installer is around 2.9MB. Click ‘Next’ button and then select ‘I accept the agreement’ option before click ‘Next’ button to continue.

BDlot DVD ISO Master will be installed at default folder in Program Files. Click ‘Next’ to allow it creates program’s shortcuts in the Start Menu folder.

Click ‘Next’ to create a desktop icon and Quick Launch icon. Then, click ‘Install’ to continue with the installation.

Click Finish button and it will launch BDlot DVD ISO Master as shown in the below screenshot.

BDlot DVD ISO Master has two main functions which able to rip DVD to ISO or burn ISO to DVD. Click ‘DVD to ISO’ button to start the DVD backup mode. Just insert the DVD disc and the program will load the DVD disc automatically. Otherwise, click ‘Browse’ button and select DVD directory.

Now, you will see the default settings of source DVD and target ISO file location. You can set a new destination folder for ISO image file by clicking ‘Save as’ button. Once you are fine with the settings, click the big ‘Run’ button to start the ripping and convert DVD to ISO process.

I’m quite impressed with the performance delivered by BDlot DVD ISO Master because it creates the ISO image file at around 10 minutes only for a 3.6GB DVD disc. Good job!

I love the fact that BDlot DVD ISO Master allows you to backup DVD discs in ISO files or vice versa. It means you can burn ISO to DVD as well using the same program.

Burn ISO to DVD with BDlot DVD ISO Master

Click ‘ISO to DVD’ button and select ISO file from your computer by clicking ‘Browse’ button. It can also burn ISO to CD/DVD/Blu-ray disc. Don’t forget to insert a blank or rewritable DVD disc into DVD writer before clicking the ‘Run’ button. Just use the default DVD writing speed and Transport Property settings as shown.
