2) Be Strong and Know What To Expect

– In the process of quitting smoking, the physical withdrawal symptoms like fatigue, insomnia and headaches are common and the first week is the hardest period to control your smoking habit. If you can pass the first week, it’ll be more easier to forward to next steps. Be strong and know that all the symptoms are temporary and will be over very soon.

3) Don’t Mercy On Yourself

– Stop to mercy on yourself by allowing to have just one cigarette to calm yourself down. If such a thoughts pop into your head, stop and think again the side effects smoking. Try to find other ways to relax your mind and remind yourself that you don’t want to smoke again.

4) Use Relaxation Techniques To Quit Smoking

– Listening to SPA music and take a long deep breath will help to reduce tension and clear your mind.

5) Get Help From Others

– Tell your decision to quit smoking to your close friends, relatives and ask their help to remind you if you are about to smoke. If they love you, they will remind you and tell you not to smoke again.

6) Quit Smoking Hypnosis

Hypnosis works by getting you into a deeply relaxed state where you are open to suggestions that strengthen your resolve to quit smoking and increase your negative feelings toward cigarettes.

  1. Quiting smoking is really a tough task. I see many of my friends failing to quit smoking. They cant survive without it. I heard that there are some medicines available that can help you to quit smoking. Apart from that start chewing the gum,drinking the tea can also help you to relax a bit.

  3. @Ricky: You’re right, it’s really not easy to quit smoking especially if you had addicted for smoking. However, if you are really made up your mind to quit smoking, I believe you can still do it.

  5. I tolerate smokers but I just wish they would stop puffing sepecially when there are a lot of nonsmokers around trying to live a normal healthly lifestyle. Remember, you lose 10 minuest of your life with every single stick! Not good.

  12. I believe cigarette smoking can be much more addicting to particular individuals. Hence, quitting smoking is easier for a few folks than many others. At the end of the day, you have to wish to quit before you at long last achieve success.

  13. Just quit cold turkey!!! Its the only way it will work. I tried the gums, the patches, etc… They are all just crutches and will eventually lead you back to a smoke! I didnt gain weight, but it was hell on my body. I quit almost two years ago and i still have cravings now and then!

  14. Quitting smoking is really hard. You need to be really motivated and to have a lot of willpower. And tip # 5 “get help from others” is really important. It reminded me of my best friend who wanted to quit smoking, but didn’t tell his wife. After 10 days without smoking, guess what his wife told him to do when he was nervous: “Here, smoke a cigarette, it will help you relax..” :(
