We all know that Google mail does not allow user to access more than one Gmail account in the same browser. If you have multiple Gmail accounts like me, you will need to sign out the first Gmail account and sign in to second Gmail account and it’s really inconvenience for me to do multi-tasks. Or you have to open a second browser for the other Gmail account to view the content.
I’m glad to inform you that Gmail team has worked out a new solution to access multiple Gmail Accounts using the same browser. The new feature called “Multiple sign-in”, you can browse to your Google Accounts to manage the settings.
Now, press the Edit link of Multiple Sign-in. Turn on the multiple sign-in option and make sure you read all the four statements written in yellow box. When you turn on the multiple sign-in option, you are able to switch other Google products. Bear in mind that not all Google products (such as Blogger and Picasa) support the new feature and your offline mail; offline calendar will be disabled as well. If you are using a phone browser, you will not see the multiple sign-in option yet because it only supports desktop browsers as of now.
Look at your top upper right hand corner of Gmail settings, you can sign in with up to two additional accounts and easily switch back and forth between them. That means you can have default primary email and 2 additional email accounts. If you try to sign in for more than 2 additional Gmail accounts, you will see the below alert notice.
You also can view them by open multiple Gmail tabs for easy reference.
Open 2 tabs for both Gmail accounts in the same browser.
Now I can access multiple Gmail Accounts and it enhances my daily working tasks more efficient. Thank you Gmail team.
