I would like to introduce Add Text feature in Picasa program as I found it useful for photographers if they wants to add texts without using Photoshop.  As usual, the text feature is resided in Basic Fixes tab and look for the button which has ABC wording.

Press it once and you are able to add or edit texts on your photo. The good thing about this text tool is it does not limit you to put the text anywhere you like. Just use mouse cursor to click on photo and you are able to add/edit the texts.

I love the flexibility of Free Picasa program because it allows you to do basic photo tasks such as Crop, Straighten, Redeye remove, auto contrast, retouch, add text and fill light. All the tools are located within Basic Fixes tab and you can always applying other features by single click.

Conclusion:

Google Picasa saves me lots of time to edit the photos. Google Picasa is a great Photo Editor that you must have to enhance your photos.

I think the Google Picasa’s features are easy to use and handle. I had been using Free Photo Editor software to remove red eyes effects but seems like Google Picasa do it better and easier.

Just add the image and you will see the basic fixes tab on your left hand site (Blue rectangle), I just press Redeye button and Picasa software detects the red eyes pretty fast and remove them at once. Cool! It’s fast and fun to use it.

If you noticed there are any red eyes spots that Picasa may have missed. You can draw a square around the missed red eyes spot and it will repair it immediately. You can always press Cancel button to cancel the changes.

Picasa is Free Photo Editor software which is categorized as free Google software. Picasa software is acquired by Google in 2004 and supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Linux and Mac OS X as well.

The latest version is Picasa3 and I’m amazed by its powerful functionalities as a free photo editor and image viewer. Some of the Picasa’s features that make it unique from other photo editor software are keyword tagging, geo-tagging, search for faces and other rich features.

How to Install Picasa 3 Software?

Step1: Download Picasa 3 from Google Picasa website.

Step2: Install the Picasa 3 by double clicking the Picasa installer. Press I Agree button to accept the License Agreement.

Step3: Now, the Choose Install Location message appeared, the default program is set and just clicks Install to continue the installation. Make sure that your hard disk space at least more than 52MB to allow the Picasa 3 installation.

Step4: The whole installation process just took you around 10-15 seconds to finish. You can choose to create shortcut on desktop, add shortcut to Quick Launch as shown below. Once done, click Finish button to run Picasa3 program.

 Picasa is also a Photo viewer program which allows you to view photos directly from Windows Explorer. You can use Picasa Photo viewer as the default viewer for various photo formats such as JPG, TIF, BMP, GIF, PNG, TGA and RAW.

For first time user, Picasa will ask your preferences to only search pictures on your computer either only search My Documents, My Pictures, Desktop or search whole computer for pictures. This step is very useful because the second time when you open Picasa, the program will ready to work immediately without waiting for the pictures loading.

Depends to volume pictures that you have in your hard drive, Picasa may take some time to scan all the pictures in the first time. Once it is complete, you will see the Picasa layout as below:

I will be using Picasa free software to do some photo editing tasks and I will share with all of you if there are any new features in Picasa software. Now download the latest Picasa 3 below.

Photo!Editor version 1.1 is a free but powerful Photo Editing software. Today I would like to show you how to sharpen photo or fix blurry photos. 

Photo Editor has a new feature called “Deblur”. The meaning of deblur is to sharpen blurry images. The deblur tool uses an advanced method to improve blurred pictures.

Loonapix is a website to create funny photo online. There are 5 different features to create funny photos in Loonapix.com. Here I will introduce you the first feature you will find at Loonapix called Loonapic Effect.

Loonapic Effect

There are over hundreds Loonapic Effects that you can choose of and it’s really simple to create beautiful photo effects with Loonapic editor. Firstly, upload your photo via My File tab or URL tab. My File tab allows you to choose your photo from your local disk while URL tab allows you to enter an URL to the image in the web.

In this case, I will choose to upload the photo via My File. For your info, the maximum photo size to be uploaded is 5MB and only JPG, GIF and PNG format images are accepted.

Once the photo was uploaded successfully, you can choose a Loonapic effect to transform your normal photo to artistic photo. You can move the photo around to adjust the angle of photo.

Lastly, it’s the time to create your very own photo effect. Click the Create button and wait for the miracle happens. The photo has transformed into artistic photo as below. You can save the photo to local disk by clicking Save to disk link and the photo format will be in JPG. You can easily change to other Loonapic Effects by clicking Change effect link.

I had introduced the easy free photo enhancement software called Photo! Editor and I want to guide you how to fix red eye effect on the photos using Photo Editor Software.

Firstly, I will demonstrate using a sample of red eye photo as below:

Now, launch the Photo Editor program and open the red eye photo above.

Find the Fix Red Eye button at the top menu bar. Just press Fix Red Eye button once and it will automatically fix the red eyes effect. See the final photo result below and you will notice that the red eyes effect is disappear instantly.

Today, I would like to introduce another great photo enhancement feature called Make Up tool. We have learn that Photo Editor program has various photo enhancement features such as Deblur tool, Caricature tool, Lighting and other photo tools which can easily transform a normal photo into a professional photo.

Make Up Tool

As usual, launch the photo editor program and open the selected photo. Then press the Make Up button as shown above. Then you will see the settings sidebar with a few powerful make up tools such as spot healing brush, flash correction brush, healing brush, teeth whitening and smoothing brush to retouch your photo.

Once you have selected the brush, you can adjust the brush size by dragging the brush settings slider.  Point the mouse over the face and click on the area that you want to make up. Please see the example below before make up photo and after make up photo. Do you see the differences? I used spot healing brush to heal the spot on face and it works like a charm.

Step1: Launch the Photo Editor program and open the selected photo.

Sometimes, we want to add some lighting effects on our photos so they look more artistic and more attractive. Again, I will use Photo Editor Software to perform the task.  There is a Lighting Effects tool to help you easily apply special lighting effects on photos.

Step 1: Launch the Photo! Editor program and open the photo. Then press Lighting Effects button.

Step 2: You will notice in the below image that your original image is in the middle and surrounded by others special lighting effects such as Golden engraving effect, spring sun effect and other lighting effects.  Select one of them and press OK button to view the result.

Step3:  If you are not satisfied with the ready-made lighting effects templates, you can choose Manual mode setting at your top right side.  The manual lighting setting allows you to adjust the light source settings such as light intensity, altitude, ambient light. Just drag the light source settings and move the round circle in the photo to view the result.

Then click OK button if you are satisfied with the photo. Now your normal photo turns into artistic photo with light effects on it. Try it now.
