Tonight I watched Britains Got Talent 2009 Audition on YouTube. I was stunned at the amazing performance by an amazing lady, Susan Boyle. She is 48 years old and still single, she looked shy and a little out of place as she stepped on stage. When she walked onto the stage, most of the audience’s and judges’ reactions are smirking and sneering. As you can see, the judges and audience laughed as she said she would like to be as successful as Elaine Paige.

But as soon as she sang ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from Les Miserables, Susan blows the judges and audience away with her incredible Godsend vocal. It’s like everything around pauses and angel is singing on the stage. She turned people’s laughter into tears and one of the judges, Piers Morgan described her as stunning and “the biggest surprise in three years on the show”.

Lesson Learnt: People judged Miss Susan Boyle by her looks and appearance, they owed her an apology because Susan Boyle owned the true talent and true beauty in her soul. Never judge a book by its cover!

You must watch this video and you will know why we should not judge people too early.

  1. Susan Boyle has a great voice, no doubt about that. She was my first choice in American Idol and sadly she did not make it.

  2. Look at everything as though you were seeing it either for the first or last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with glory.
