Good news to all American Idol’s fan in Malaysia especially KL area. The AI Season 8 Winner Kris Allen will arrive in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (08 February 2010) to promote his self-titled album – Kris Allen.

Kris Allen will perform at 8pm at The Gardens Ballroom of The Gardens Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Some lucky fans will also win a chance to meet the superstar in person by taking part in the online contest or in the radio contest Hitz FM today.

Kris Allen was born in June 21, 1985 and the winner of the American Idol Season 8. He sang “No Boundaries” (written by AI judge Kara Dioguardi) in the American Idol coronation night and beat super popular contestant, Adam Lambert. Kris Allen is also the first married contestant to win the American Idol title. In the audition stage of Season 8 American Idol, he just performed at merely 9 seconds but he still won the contest. The new album, Kris Allen, sold over 80,000 copies in first week and entered the Billboard 200 at no.11. Today, the album has sold at around 245,000 copies.

My Personal Opinion About Kris Allen

Kris Allen is very humble, polite and low-profile singer. Although he had won the American Idol contest but he still be himself and not overdo it. That’s the value I love about Kris Allen. Just listened to what he said after he won the American Idol, he said “It feels really good. When I tried out for American Idol, my goal was not to win. It was to go out and hopefully do well enough that I could have the opportunity for a music career”.
