Apple has always given us the best of the best and it’s the same with the new OS of the Apple Watch. With the unveiling of these new OS, new features also rolled out which undoubtedly makes the Apple Watch experience a lot more exciting.

New features like Photo face, Photo Album face and TimeLapse face are now available and they allow the user to personalize the smartwatch’s display to their liking. There is also now the function called TimeTravel which lets you scroll through your day with the Digital Crown.  What’s cool is that it let’s you see things like the temperature and appointments change as the day goes on.

I think we could agree that the best new addition would be the Nightstand mode. It works when the watch is charging and in landscape orientation. The watch will then look like an alarm clock and will ask you to set an alarm which you can snooze or turn off with the smartwatch’s physical buttons. Really useful, right?

Now I’m sure the talking is not enough anymore, so without further do, here is CNET’s first look on the new OS of the coveted smartwatch. Enjoy!

Why spend a lot of money on hotels when you can travel for less with Couchsurfing?

Couchsurfing is an amazing way to go around the world in a budget and get to know locals who are willing to offer you a space in their homes. Couchsurfing.com, the official website that connects travellers and family hosts all over the world now has more than three million members.

Although it is true that you are not obliged to pay for the kindness the locals show you, I think it is just right to somehow give back. You can do this by doing house chores or maybe even offeirng to help in their businesses. Some may be into farming, dining, or selling.

This can lower your expense when travelling in foreign countries. Host families are usually willing to offer their homes because they are interested in your culture, want to learn your language, or might also be planning to visit your country and want to build connections.

Couchsurfing.com is not just about finding a place to stay. It is about meeting new people, engaging in other’s culture, learning from the locals, and making friends from places far from home.

If you want to know more about couchsurfing visit couchsurfing.com.

You started a blog and been working really hard to make it real great. After all the hardwork, you think you’re finally ready for the crowd’s attention. However, no matter how long you kept on posting, and waiting, and posting, there just seems to be no one coming into your blog. Fear not my friend, we’re here today to give you tips on how to increase traffic into your blog.

1. Come up with clever topics

Personally, I think that this is absolutely the first thing every blogger should do — to think of a blog theme and make your contents cohesive, fun, and informational. You have to be sure what kind of topics you want to post in your blog. Choose topics that will make people interested and make them keep coming back for more.

Consider you blog’s theme when coming up with topics. For example, if you designed it for funny things online, then keep the posts light, entertaining and cool. On the other hand, if you made your blog for the purpose of sharing informational tips to others, then always provide useful information with excellent quality in your blog posts.

2. Provide timeless content

Instead of going for topics that are only relevant for a short period of time, why not create contents that people will still find interesting despite years of being published online? Topics such as the makeup transformation craze, or belly-button challenge are more likely to create traffic for a brief period of time, if any.

We’re not saying you can’t write about these short-lived topics though. What we’re trying to point out here is that writing about short-lived topics will also only generate short-lived traffic.

3. Ask for shares

I know you always see these icons when you visit other people’s blogs. Well, that’s because it can be very useful in advertising your blog.

When readers liked your post, oftentimes they try to locate the share or tweet icons so they can let their social friends see what they just read. I know because I also do that, and it’s very frustrating when the article can’t be directly shared and the only thing to do so is to copy the link and paste it to you Facebook post or Tweet. That can turn people off from sharing your content because that’s too “effortful”. So to make things easier for your readers, add those little icons and watch your post get shared by different people.

4. Be mobile-friendly

Today, almost everyone has a smartphone. We use it for everything, may it be texting, taking photos, sharing stories, and surfing the web. Most of the people I know spend around 4 hours a day just scrolling down their phones and reading posts from other people. The blogger’s targets are now on mobile phones and not on desktops or laptops. What should you do? Simple. Make your blog mobile-friendly!

If you’re in WordPress, just check this plugin out: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/. It will make a version of your blog that is perfect for mobile browsing.

5. Humility goes a long way

People notice it when the blogger becomes too full of himself and they’ll start losing interest. When that happens, you’ll go back to zero.

You know why big blogs are so successful? It’s because they don’t seem to care about the attention they’re getting at all. They continue on providing cool posts like before and they never cease on putting the readers’ interest first. They are popular because their popularity is one of their least concerns. Of course every blogger aspires to be known in the internet, but when that happens, it’s tiime to be more down-to-earth and be more aware of your audience’s interests rather than yourself.

Traffic is probably the most important thing for a blog to succeed. If you follow these five simple steps, you’ll surely rake in traffic to your blog faster than you can say “Go!”.

Smartphones have found their way into our everyday essentials. We rely on them for almost everything, such as alarm, notes, camera, music, texting, and internet surfing. So it is a real hassle when we don’t know how to make things easier when it comes to using our sometimes complicated phones – specifically the iPhone. Today we’ve gathered 11 tricks that will dramatically maximize your iPhone experience.

1. Shake your iPhone to delete text

Want to delete everything you typed but tired of double tapping and waiting for the option to select all? Why don’t you try shaking your iPhone a little bit instead? This will trigger a dialog box to pop out giving the choice to undo what you typed. If you shake your iPhone after deleting something, a dialog box asking if you want to redo the last action will appear. Makes things easier and cooler, eh?

2. It can track your movement

This feature is totally creepy, but before you consider it useless, let me tell you how you can use it to your advantage. So you have a partner whom you think is cheating on you? Ask your partner where he/she went, then you can check if the love of your life told you the truth. If not, then maybe it’s time to confront the person and demand to know what’s really going on.

3. Letters for passcode

Bored of the same old kind of passcodes? Try something new by simply turning off Simple Passcode in your settings. You will be asked to enter your old password. Once done, it will ask you to input your new password using letters instead of numbers.

4. See a detailed calendar

Don’t know how you can view your schedule completely? Hold your phone horizontally and watch your screen rotate to landscape. Now you can see your full schedule for the day in a more detailed way.

Ps. If this doesn’t work, go to settings and turn off the Portrait Orientation Lock.

5. Closing apps like a boss

You don’t need to tire your finger swiping up to close all the apps in line. Why do it one by one if you can close two apps at a time, or three at a time? Don’t believe me? Try it now!

6. Take photos with the volume buttons

Most people try so hard to reach the circle button when taking a selfie. They are desperate to reach it thinking there’s no other way to capture the photo since the default camera app has no timer option. But hold it people, there are two ways to do it actually. You can either press the volume buttons or…

7. Use headset to capture selfies

Yes folks. Just plug in your headset, set up your phone on a table, hold the volume rocker, strike a pose, and press the button. There you have it. A cheaper, better, and easier alternative to selfie sticks.

8. Airplane mode for faster charging

If you’re in a hurry to leave the house but still have to wait for your phone to at least charge a little more, then try this trick next time. Whenever you charge your phone, switch it to airplane mode so it will charge twice as fast. Not only will you save time, you’ll aso save a little on your electricity consumption.

9. Time info of your texts

Before you go around complaining about how Apple failed to put timestamps on texts, try swiping your finger to the left while you’re reading a message. You see little numbers appear while you swipe? Yes, those are the timestamps you were looking for.

10. Take superb, high-quality photos

iPhone cameras are one of the best (if not the best) in the smartphone world, but when you’re given an option to have an even better photos, why not use it? The HDR mode allows you to take excellent photos in different settings and scenes. Photos turn out crisp, vivid, colorful and even DSLR-like sometimes.

11. Speed up iPhone performance

Turn on the reduce motion and the increase contrast on the phone’s settings. This will remove the parallax effect that can slow down your phone and speed it up a little. Also, always leave at least 2 gigabytes of storage on your phone to avoid it from lagging and crashing apps.

And that’s a wrap. We hope you can use at least some of these tricks to improve your iPhone experience. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Sometimes, or most of the time, we wish that life was just a little bit easier. With all the advanced technology we have it’s baffling how there are tasks that we still find hard to do, like opening a jar lid or cleaning the kitchen sink. But we have the internet now, and the all so reliable Google to help us with our tiny problems. I scoured the World Wide Web for some of the most useful life hacks and here are some of them:

1. Marker Mishap

Accidentally used permanent marker on your whiteboard? Turns out it can be removed using a plain, old rubber eraser. Rubbing an eraser on the surface of a whiteboard will removed the permanent marker due to friction. But it takes a bit of effort so if you don’t want that, you can try using toothpaste. Toothpaste contains abrasives that will wipe the marker off of most surfaces.

2. Hello, Uhhm…

Was there a point in your life when you forgot someone’s name and you’re embarrassed to ask them again because you don’t want them to know that you forgot it? Well, here’s a simple trick that I read. Ask that person what their full name is. In this way, they will just think that you wanted to know what their last name was. It’s not much of a life hack but it sure does save you from yet another awkward moment.

3. Dangers of Frying

Cooking can be fun since it means that you get to eat after. You know what’s not fun? Oil splatters. Now, I don’t know how legit this is since I haven’t tried it myself but as it turns out there’s a simple trick to prevent oil from splattering when you’re frying something up. Just sprinkle a bit of salt on the frying pan and you’re good to go!

4. Polish to the Rescue

Do you have nail polishes that have dried up? You don’t need to throw them away immediately. Just put a drop or two of nail polish remover, give it a little shake and you can use them again! And if you accidently got superglue on your skin, you can use nail polish remover to dissolve the glue. It can also be used to remove various stains like shoe streaks on tiles and soap scum.

5. Cold shower vs. Acne

Got acne problems? Taking a cold shower will help since it closes the pores and this prevents dirt from getting in. Aside from that, cold showers are also good for your hair and your blood circulation. It also helps with muscle pain. It’s healthier and more beneficial than taking hot showers. Not only that, it’s also saves energy.

6. LSS No More

Have you ever had a song stuck in your head? Like, you can’t help yourself you just spontaneously sing it? The first few times it happens, it’s still fine but after five or six times it gets annoying, doesn’t it? Well there are few tricks on how to get rid of that earworm problem. One is try chewing a gum and it would get that song out of your head, or you could try listening to the full song.

7. Rub It Off

Do you have problem removing stickers off of something? Try using vinegar. Rub it on the sticker and it will come right off. It will even take away the goo that’s usually left behind if you just peel the sticker off. You can also use nail polish remover, just make sure that it doesn’t contain acetone if you’re going to use it in a painted surface or the paint color might fade.

8. Pop That Lid

Now, about that jar. There are several ways to pry the lid off a hard to open jar. One of them is putting on rubber gloves to increase the grip of your strength. If that doesn’t work try to break the vacuum seal of the jar. You can try dipping it in hot water. The heat will break the vacuum seal and once you hear the pop you can start twisting on that jar lid.

9. Sticky Situation

Who else had been unfortunate enough to get gum on their hair? If this happens to you, just rub on some oil on it. It’ll break down the gum. No need to shear off your crowning glory. Now if the gum stuck on your clothes, just stick in the freezer and the cold will make the gum frigid and easier to remove.

10. Red Days Struggle

This last life hack is for all the girls out there. We all know that every month, you have your period. And aside from the pain and mood swings you also have to deal with, for lack of a better word, back leaks. Pads and tampons can’t prevent back leaks one hundred percent. To help you with removing the stain, you can use hydrogen peroxide. It’s also useful in removing other stains and it can be diluted to be used as a cleanser and a mouthwash.

That’s it for my own compilation of life hacks. I know it’s not enough. It doesn’t even cover half of the complaints and queries I see everywhere on the internet but I do hope that some of these will come in handy one day.
